Birth and Postpartum Doula

Pregnancy, Birth and Parenting can be an intense and challenging time,

I am here to ease your way.

The birth of my son in 1995 was my introduction to the powers of the birthing world. I had an amazing birth experience and was profoundly empowered, thanks in part to my Doula. The sacred art of birthing and parenthood has always intrigued and amazed me. The seeds were planted.

The Doula in me was born in march of 2003 when I received my Labor Doula Certification through the Birthingway College of Midwifery. Along with self discovery and constant study I have attended the Massage for birthing course at the Oregon School of Massage in 2003 and graduated from East West College of Healing Arts in March 2012 as a massage therapist to expand my skills as a Doula.

Flowering Moon strives to be radically inclusive. Realizing I live and work on stolen land in a society built on abuse and inequities I aim to create a safe space for all identities to feel held as they embark on their parenting journey. Working to understand the profound inequities in Black and Brown birth experiences, I am taking action by donating 2% of all profits received from my Birthing services to National Birth Equity Collaborative birthequity.org. Go check out the empowering work they are doing.

When I am not tending and caring for new families you can find me tending my garden and honey bees or maybe playing in the river.
